Waverly Lions Club

The Waverly Lions were chartered on Jan. 31, 1982.

The Lions meet the second and fourth Mondays of each month at 6 p.m. at the Waverly Knights of Columbus Hall.

The Lions participate in Waverly Daze, host an annual Thanksgiving turkey dinner, a fish fry held the first Friday of Lent, and donate scholarships to HLWW students. The Lions also sponsor the Thursday and Saturday Meat Raffles at the Waverly Municipal Liquor store.  They support numerous civic, church and youth events, and provide the Lions Leaderdog program and their Sight First program. The Lions have been instrumental in renovations at the historic Village Hall and at the American Legion Park.

The current president is Dave Anderson.
